BLC EZ Sleep 811G (above), PB96882, is a bull we selected to use on heifers first, and then used him on both cows and heifers. His sire, SG Colonial 924D, his paternal grandsire, FR Yankee Y47, plus 3 bulls on his dam’s side – MHF Captain Clark W911, BLC Sleep EZ 583Y and BLC Tru Poll Ranger were all successfully used on heifers at Brink livestock. His CED, BW and CEM EPDs and his API are all in the top 1 to 3% of the breed. We have calved out a number of Sleep EZ daughters. They are calving easily and making great mothers. C Farms in Iowa and Scott Houghton in Wisconsin now own the walking rights on 811G. Brink Livestock has his semen for sale.
BLC Toronto 618D (above), PB90074, put awesome progeny into our herd and others across the country. His first calves were born in Fall 2018. His daughters in production are making great mommas. His sons are serving in many herds with great reports. He has a desirable pedigree (sired by Wizard of Oz and out of a BLC Tru Poll Ranger daughter). He has well balanced EPDs, adding up to a top 10% of the breed for API and top 10% for TI. Plus he’s homozygous polled. Toronto sold in our 2021 Herd Reduction Sale and was purchased by McBee Cattle Company. Contact Evan Diehls at McBee Cattle Company for semen (573) 999-0651.
DRR Wizard of Oz (above), PB64363, was the leading herd sire at Brink Livestock for a number of years. We had five calf crops by this bull and are extremely pleased with the offspring. His calves are getting his depth of body and stoutness, while being at the right end of the birth weight curve… problem free. We have many of his daughters and granddaughters in production, and they are sure what we were wanting. Beautiful mommas. Plus, he’s the sire of BLC Toronto. Semen is sold by Big Blue Braunvieh.
BLC Venture 317A (above), PB82089, proved himself with six spring calf crops at Brinks. He was also used by our partner, Randy Olson, with good results. His calves have below average birth weights while weaning and yearling have both been above average. He’s in the top 4% of the breed for API and TI.
BLC Tru Pol Ranger (above), PC60594, is a calving ease specialist that we used heavily with great success. We lost Ranger in his prime to an injury and have used up our semen supply. We have lots of daughters in production and they are some of our best.
Vista 11L E530 P588 (above), PB56317, – He brought calving ease plus growth to the herd. His daughters added lots of desirable maternal traits to our herd.
MHF Undaunted U820 (above), PB64567, was used successfully in our herd, in the herd of our partner on the bull Bluebonnet Braunvieh, and by the many breeders who have used the bull AI. His progeny have been proven in the showring, in the bull test and in the pasture. Bluebonnet Braunvieh is handling the semen sales on Undaunted. Contact Benny at Bluebonnet (903) 641-1594.
